About us

Humanitas is the largest and most experienced importer and distributor of academic and professional books in Lithuania. Established in 1994 with a bookstore at Vytautas Magnus University, the company today operates a chain of four specialized bookstores in Vilnius and Kaunas.

We focus on three main areas:

  • imported and Lithuanian academic literature in the humanities, social sciences, medicine, law, and science;
  • art, design, and architecture;
  • foreign language teaching literature.

Our customer base ranges from Lithuanian institutions (universities and other academic and training institutions, ministries, public libraries) and economic organizations (banks, enterprises) to individuals interested in knowledge, self-education, and development. All of our customer groups are provided with the most current information and promotional material about publications of interest to them, their availability and their terms. For several years, we have organized specialized exhibitions and literary presentations at universities, high schools, libraries, conferences, and bookstores.
