General provisions

This Privacy Policy, together with the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts, regulates the basic principles and procedure of collection, processing and storage of personal data of the electronic bookstore humanitas.lt.

Humanitas.lt is guided by the following basic principles of personal data processing:

  • Personal data is collected for defined and legitimate purposes
  • Personal data is processed accurately and fairly
  • Personal data are only processed in cases where the data subject has given his/her consent by an active act of ticking a box: registering in the user profile, placing an order or subscribing to a newsletter
  • Personal data shall not be kept for longer than the stated purposes of the processing require
  • Personal data shall be processed only by those employees who have the right to do so
  • All information about the personal data processed is confidential
  • The processing of personal data shall be notified to the State Data Protection Inspectorate in accordance with the established procedures

The personal data provided by the user when registering with the humanitas.lt e-bookstore will not be used for marketing purposes.

Collection, processing, storage of personal data

The humanitas.lt e-bookstore respects everyone's right to privacy. Your personal data (name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other information provided when purchasing or registering) is collected and processed in order to:

  • to process and fulfil your orders;
  • to issue financial documents;
  • resolve problems with the delivery or supply of goods;


You must provide complete and correct personal data at the time of registration with the e-bookstore.

When processing and storing your personal data, humnitas.lt implements organisational and technical measures to ensure the protection of your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, disclosure or any other unlawful processing.

The data transmission protocol we have chosen to ensure the security of the data transmitted over the Internet is the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. The SSL security protocol includes encryption and decryption of the data transmitted, authentication of servers and control of the integrity of the message. It is implemented in most popular web browsers and web servers.

The personal data you provide when you make a purchase or register is stored for a maximum of 3 years after the last action (order or login).

If you subscribe to the humanitas.lt newsletter and do not unsubscribe, the newsletter will be sent to you for 10 years from the date of subscription, at which time the recipient will be asked to renew his/her consent to receive the newsletter. Those who have not renewed their consent will not receive the newsletter.

We would like to inform you that the staff of the electronic bookshop humanitas.lt does not request your login details, bank card numbers, passwords or any other information in writing, over the phone or by any other means, the use of which could cause you financial or any other damage.

How to unsubscribe from the humanitas.lt newsletter

Click unsubscribe at the bottom of the newsletter;
In the "Your Email" box that appears, enter your email address and click the "Unsubscribe" button;
You will receive a link at the email address you have provided, which will automatically remove you from the humanitas.lt newsletter mailing list.

Transfer of personal data to third parties

We do not transfer your personal data, including your place of residence and email address, to third parties in any way, with the exception of our service partners who are involved in the execution of the order and for whom this data is necessary. However, even in such cases, only the minimum necessary data is provided to them.

Changing and updating personal data

You have the right to request at any time (by e-mail pagalba@humanitas.lt or by phone +70 5 266 16 82) that your data be updated, that you be provided with information about the use of your personal data, and that your personal data be deleted.

Registered users can delete or modify their personal data in their user profile at any time.

Changing your privacy policy

The e-bookstore humanitas.lt has the right to change its Privacy Policy in part or in full by notifying the recipients of the humanitas.lt newsletter on its website and by e-mail.

Amendments or changes to the Privacy Policy shall come into force from the date of their publication, i.e. from the date on which they are made public in the e-shop system.

If you do not agree with the new version of the Privacy Policy, you have the right to request (by e-mail pagalba@humanitas.lt or by phone +70 5 266 16 82) that we delete the personal data we hold about you and we will comply with your request.
