Description

Mokslinių straipsnių rinkinyje autoriai iš skirtingų mokslinių institucijų, pagerbdami 65-erių metų jubiliejų atšventusį Žemaitijos ir Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės visuomenių ir konfesijų istoriką doc. dr. Vacį Vaivadą, akademinei ir plačiajai visuomenei pristato naujausius mokslinius tyrimus įvairiomis kultūros, konfesijų, Žemaitijos ir Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės politinio bei socialinio gyvenimo temomis.

Mokslinių straipsnių rinkinį sudaro trys dalys: pirmoji skirta šaltinių, šaltinių interpretacijos ir analizės klausimams, analizuojantiems pagonybės vaizdinį, hagiografijas, žemaitukų ir Žemaitijos istoriją bei epistoliariką. Antrąją dalį sudaro istoriografijoje esančių klausimų apie Žemaitiją ir Lietuvos Didžiąją Kunigaikštystę tyrimai, pradedant „Lietuvos kronikų“ perskaitymu ir baigiant Simono Daukanto humanizmo samprata. Trečiasis blokas apima V. Vaivados mokslinių darbų ir interesų pristatymą, mokslinių darbų bibliografiją.
