Description

Daktaras Samuelis Fergiusonas su dviem savo bičiuliais oro balionu perskrenda Afriką, tikslindami kartografijos duomenis, ieškodami Nilo ištakų, patirdami daugybę nuotykių.

Romane „Penkios savaitės oro balionu“ pateikta gana išsami Juodojo žemyno tyrinėjimų istorija, aprašoma Afrikos gamta, čiabuvių gyvenimas, genčių papročiai.

Garsaus XIX a. prancūzų rašytojo, nuotykių knygų autoriaus, mokslinės fantastikos žanro pradininko Žiulio Verno išmonė persipina su tikrove. Knyga „Penkios savaitės oro balionu“ prisodrinta XIX a. vidurio realijų, o tai įdomu pažinti ir mūsų laikų skaitytojui.
